Gopi Tent House

Our storage yard is in Pahadganj, right near the Tech Quarter. It is a bit of a dusty area but it works for us because we need the space for all the poles and heavy fabric. We have been doing the tent business for a long time now. Usually, people from the nearby colonies come to us when they are planning a small wedding or a religious function in their street. We have a truck that we use to haul all the metal pipes and the colorful cloth to the site. Setting up a tent is hard work, especially when the sun is out or if it starts raining suddenly. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to tie the ropes so nothing falls down. Our office is just a small room with a desk covered in old diaries and bills. It’s not very organized but we know who owes what. We don't do the big fancy lighting or the flower decorations like those big city companies do. We just provide the basic structure and the chairs. Sometimes the chairs have a few scratches on them from being moved so much, but they are sturdy. It’s a tough business and your back hurts at the end of the day, but we are glad to be working.
