Alka Roof Top Restaurant

We opened Alka Roof Top Restaurant on Basti Road in Ajmer. Being near the Brahma Mandir means we get a lot of people passing through, especially during the pilgrimage seasons. The best part of the place is obviously being up on the roof. You can see a bit of the town and feel the breeze, which is nice when it’s hot downstairs. We have basic tables and some umbrellas for shade. It’s not a fancy lounge or anything. It’s just a place to eat while looking out over the area. We serve a mix of things that locals and visitors like. The kitchen is downstairs, so the staff is always running up and down the steps. It keeps them fit, I guess. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. Some people come up just to sit for a while after walking around the temple. We don't mind. We've been part of this neighborhood for a bit and we like the vibe. The street noise from Basti Road feels a bit farther away when you are up here. We use local ingredients and cook things the way we know how. There’s no big corporate office behind us, just us trying to run a decent restaurant. It’s a good spot if you want a view without paying for a luxury hotel.
