Annapurna Veg Restaurant

Annapurna Veg Restaurant is over on Shri Nagar Road in Ajmer. Our house number is 1174/32, and we’re quite close to Satyanarayan Mandir and the Chandra Store. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people coming and going for prayers. We only serve vegetarian food here. It’s a modest setup, nothing like the big hotels you see in other parts of the city. We have a few tables and chairs, and the kitchen is just behind a partition. The smells of spices and cooking fill the room all day. We start early in the morning to get things ready for the breakfast crowd. It’s a simple life running a restaurant. We buy our vegetables from the local market every morning. Sometimes the delivery is late, and we have to adjust what we’re making. We don’t have a glossy menu, just a board or a simple paper list. The floor is old tile, and the walls have some pictures of the temple. It’s a place where you can just sit down and eat without any fuss. We don’t have waiters in suits; it’s just us in our regular clothes. Most of our customers are neighbors or people visiting the temple. We’ve been part of this street for a long time, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to win any awards, just trying to make food that people want to eat every day. It's a lot of work but it feels right to be a part of this neighborhood.
