Chouthan Tent House

Our tent house is situated on Pushkar Road, right at the Foysagar Chouraha in Ajmer. We have been here for a good number of years. This business is mostly about moving heavy poles, large rolls of fabric, and stacks of chairs for events. It is a lot of physical work, especially when the wedding season starts and everyone wants their tents set up at the same time. The Foysagar Chouraha is a busy intersection, so there is always traffic and noise around us. We store all our equipment in the warehouse here and you can usually see us loading or unloading the trucks throughout the day. Sometimes the fabric gets stained or a chair leg breaks, and we have to fix those things ourselves in the back room. Pushkar Road gets very crowded during the fair and other festivals, which makes it hard to move our vehicles around. We don't have a fancy showroom, just a place where we keep our gear and talk to people about their local events. It is an honest living and we have gotten to know a lot of families in Ajmer because of the work we do. We just focus on getting the tents up on time and making sure we don't forget any of the decorations. It is a messy job with all the dust and the heavy lifting, but we are quite used to the routine by now in this part of town.
