S.P.Chips Potato Pvt.Ltd.

Our business, S.P.Chips Potato Pvt.Ltd., is located in Ahmedabad at Tenment No : 3 in the Bhaleshwar Department No : 2. We are right across from Baldevnagar and near Jirajpark. It is a busy little spot. We spend most of our time dealing with potatoes. Every morning the trucks come in with sacks from the market. We have a small crew that helps with the peeling, slicing, and frying. The air in our shop always smells like hot oil and salt. It is a very simple operation. We don't have the big fancy machines you see on television. We use smaller fryers and we do a lot of the packing by hand. People in the local area come by to pick up fresh bags quite often. The floor can get a bit messy with potato skins and oil. We spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the day. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. We just make the chips and sell them to the local stores around Ahmedabad. Sometimes the price of potatoes goes up and we have to worry about that. Mostly we just focus on the daily work. It is hot work standing near the fryers all day, especially in the summer. We are just a local family business trying to make a living. It’s not a polished place but we get the work done. The chips are always crispy and that is what matters.
