Ankur Chawana & Sweet Mart

Our shop is at 8 Bechar Das Park, right opposite the Ankur Commercial Centre on Ankur Road. We are in the Naranpura area of Ahmedabad. This is a busy neighborhood with lots of people walking by every day. We sell sweets and snacks, what people usually call chawana. It is a small shop, but we have a lot of things packed into the shelves. We start our work very early in the morning to get the fresh batches ready. By the time people are heading to work, we are open and ready. We have been here for a long time, so most of the regulars know us by name. It is nice to see the same faces every day. We don't have any fancy marketing. We just put the trays out and people come in. Sometimes the festive seasons get really crazy and we are working through the night to keep the shelves full. My family has been doing this for a long time. It's just a simple sweet mart. We try to keep things clean and the food fresh. If you are ever near the commercial centre, you can see us right there. It's a humble little spot, but it stays busy because people around here like their snacks. We just keep the glass cases clean and the bags ready for the customers. It's just a part of the daily life here in Naranpura. We keep at it every day.
