Kandoi Bhogilal Mulchand is a name that has been around for a long time. We aren't trying to be some modern startup with bean bags and glass walls. Our place feels like a proper workshop where things are made by hand. The air usually smells like sugar and ghee, which is a good way to spend your day. Ashram Road is always crowded, so there is a constant hum of traffic outside our doors. We have customers who have been coming to us since they were kids, and now they bring their own children. It makes you feel a bit old, but it’s nice to see. We don't spend money on big ads because word of mouth has always worked for us. The counters are old wood and the floors are stone. We keep things clean, of course, but it has that lived-in feel. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the afternoon because we only make a set amount each day. If it’s gone, it’s gone until tomorrow. That is just the way we like to run things. We focus on the taste and the tradition, rather than trying to expand too fast and losing what made us good in the first place.
