Our place is right on the Sarkhej-Bavla High Way in Moraiya. If you know where the Zydus-Cadila R&D unit is, we are just near there at Plot No.407. Being out here in Sanand means there is a lot of truck movement and dust from the road. Inside the factory, things are a bit different because we are dealing with food products. It’s a lot of monitoring the machines and checking the batches. We spend most of our time making sure the packaging looks okay and the ingredients are sorted properly. It is a busy unit and sometimes the noise of the machines is a lot. We have been here for some time now and the crew knows the routine by heart. It’s not a glamorous job. There is a lot of cleaning up to do every evening. We usually see the same faces every morning when the shift starts. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to manage with the backup, which is always a bit of a headache. The office is small and usually smells like whatever we are processing that day. People drive past us on the highway all day long without realizing what goes on inside. We just focus on getting the orders ready and loaded onto the trucks. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy through the week. We don't have a lot of fancy signs or anything.
