Comesum Food Plaza is a bit of a landmark here at the Kalupur Railway Station in Ahmedabad. Even though the name on the door mentions Kolkata, we are firmly planted on Platform Number 1 right here in Gujarat. If you’ve ever spent time at a major train station, you know it’s never quiet. There are trains coming and going at all hours, and the platform is always crowded with travelers. Our life revolves around that schedule. We see people who are tired, hungry, and in a hurry to get to their next destination. We spend our shifts making sure there’s hot food ready for whoever walks in. It’s a fast-paced environment and it gets quite hot in the kitchen, especially during the summer months. We don’t have a quiet dining room or soft music playing. It’s loud, busy, and very functional. Our staff is used to the chaos of the station. We’ve been on this platform for a long time, and we’ve seen all sorts of people pass through. We don’t have a complicated mission. We just want to make sure people get something to eat before their train leaves. It’s honest work and we are proud to be part of the station’s daily life. If you’re ever catching a train from Plat Form No-1, you’ll see us there, just doing our daily routine.
