Our little spot here at 38 Jantanagar Society in Ghatlodia stays pretty busy throughout the week. If you’ve ever been around this part of Ahmedabad, you know how it gets near the shops and houses. We spend most of our shift behind the counter or over the fryers. It's a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a good rhythm down now. The lunch rush usually starts around noon, and by then, the kitchen is usually a bit of a mess with bags and boxes everywhere. We try to keep it clean, but when there's a line out the door, you just focus on getting the burgers out. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk or take a scooter to work. It’s just a normal job for us. We deal with all sorts of people, from students looking for a quick snack to families coming in on Saturday nights. Sometimes the ice cream machine acts up, which is a headache for everyone, but we just do our best to get it running again. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. It’s just about making sure the fries are salted and the floors aren't slippery. Ghatlodia is a loud place, and we’re right in the middle of it at Jantanagar. It's definitely not a quiet office job, that's for sure. We just keep our heads down and work until the shift is over.
