We’ve been here at Jamalpur Char Rasta for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us sitting in the office at Bagmar Plaza, right across from the APMC market. It gets pretty loud outside with all the trucks and people moving around, but that is just how the neighborhood is. We mostly spend our time on the phone or talking to folks who walk in looking to get somewhere. Sometimes they want a long trip, other times it is just local stuff. We don't have a big fancy setup or anything like that. It’s just a couple of rooms where we keep our logs and try to keep things organized. Usually, the coffee is cold by the time we get to drink it because someone always needs a booking handled or a driver has a question. We know the roads around here pretty well. It isn't always easy work, especially when the traffic gets bad or the weather doesn't cooperate, but we show up every morning anyway. Our neighbors know us and we know them. We’ve seen the market change over the years while we stayed in the same spot. The old building has its quirks, like the elevator that sometimes stops an inch too high, but we’ve gotten used to it. We just try to get the jobs done and make sure nobody is left waiting too long. If you're looking for us, we're usually here until late evening. It is a simple life and we like being part of the bustle in Jamalpur.
