You can find us at 3577, right by Kaji’S Dhaba in the Astodia area. We are directly across from the Varai Mata Pole. It’s one of those narrow parts of the city where everything is close together and people are always rushing past. The office is small, just enough space for a couple of desks and some chairs for people to wait. We deal with travel bookings all day long. Sometimes it’s a simple bus ticket to a nearby town, other times it’s a complicated international trip that needs a lot of stamps and signatures. Being near the Dhaba is good because the smell of food is always around, though it makes us hungry before lunch time. We’ve been at this spot for a while, so the locals know us. They drop in to check prices or just to see if their passport has come back yet. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they need a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the files to worry about that. My cousin helps out with the computer work because he’s faster at typing than I am. We use a lot of paper here, even though everything is supposed to be digital now. There’s something about having the ticket in your hand that makes people feel better. We just try to get the work done without making mistakes, so people can get where they need to go. That's all we do.
