Setting up in Mangal Murti Apartment wasn't something we planned to do forever, but we've been at 45/521 on Ankur Road for a good while now. Being near the Telephone Exchange in Naranpura makes it easy for people to find us when they need food for a small get-together or a family function. We started out just cooking for neighbors, and it kind of grew from there. It's a small team here, mostly just family and a few helpers who have been with us for years. The kitchen stays busy starting from early morning. You can usually smell the spices down the hallway of the apartment block. We don’t do fancy decorations or have a big office. Most of our work is done over the phone or while standing over large pots. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when there are three orders on the same day, but we manage to get the food out. We mostly handle local Gujarati dishes because that’s what we know best. It is a lot of hard work, scrubbing big containers and making sure the vegetables are fresh from the market. We don't have a big website or anything, just our reputation in the 380013 area. People usually just hear about us from their cousins or friends. We just try to make sure the salt is right and the food arrives on time. That’s about it for us.
