Womens World Fashion School

We’ve been here in Ram Bagh for quite some time now. The school is tucked away in C-501 of Trans Yamuna Colony. If you walk in during the day, you’ll mostly hear the sound of sewing machines humming and people talking over fabric scraps. We started this place because there was a need for a spot where local women could actually learn how to cut patterns and stitch clothes properly. It’s not fancy. We have tables for cutting and a few rows of machines. Sometimes the room gets a bit crowded when everyone is working on their final projects, but we manage. Most of the people who come here are from around Agra, just looking to pick up a trade or maybe start a small boutique from their house. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. I’m usually the one answering the phone or showing people where to sit. We spend a lot of time looking at threads and trying to get the hemlines straight. It’s hard work, and your back might ache after a few hours of leaning over a drafting board, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized, even though the scrap bins always seem to be overflowing. It’s a busy place, especially before the wedding season when everyone wants to learn how to make heavy suits.
