Our restaurant is part of the Madhu Resorts complex out on Mathura Road in Agra. We’re right near Sikandra on the NH-2, so we see a lot of people passing through on their way somewhere else. It’s a big space and it can get quite lively, especially during the wedding season when the resort is full. We’ve been here for a while, and the crew is used to the ebb and flow of the tourist crowds. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or a list of corporate values. We just try to keep the tables clean and the food coming out on time. The work is mostly routine—stocking the pantry, checking the orders, and making sure the dining room is ready for the next shift. Sometimes the traffic on the highway makes it hard for the staff to get in on time, but we always manage. We aren’t trying to be the most famous place in Agra, just a solid choice for anyone who finds themselves near Sikandra. It’s a practical business run by regular people. We like seeing a full room and hearing the clinking of plates. It means we’re doing our job right. We just keep our heads down, work the shifts, and hope people leave with a full stomach. It’s not always perfect, but we put in the effort every day we’re open.
