9 Star Restaurant

9 Star Restaurant is located in Taj Ganj, right at 18/159 near the Purani Mandi crossing in Agra. We are directly opposite Kailash Cinema, so we get a lot of people coming by after they watch a movie. Being in Taj Ganj means we are in one of the older, busier parts of the city. It’s a very local feel here. We’ve got the 9 Star Hotel right with us, so it’s a mix of people staying the night and locals just coming in for a bite. The streets are narrow and usually filled with rickshaws and tourists. It gets very hot in Agra, and we spend a lot of our time just trying to keep the place cool and comfortable. We aren't some big chain; we are just a local business trying to make a living. There is always something to fix or a floor to sweep. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and stay until the last customer leaves. It’s a lot of work, especially when the movie theater lets out and everyone comes across the street at once. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the kitchen doesn't get too overwhelmed. It’s just our daily life here in the heart of Agra, near the old cinema. Sometimes the monkeys even show up on the roof when it's quiet.
