The Olive Garden

The Olive Garden is tucked inside the Marina Hotel over on Mahatma Gandhi Road. We are right in the Sanjay Place area of Agra. If you know where Sanjay Palace is, we are just near there. It’s a pretty active part of the city. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or out on the floor. It’s a restaurant, so the rhythm of the day depends on when people get hungry. Lunch and dinner are usually the busiest times for us. We don't use any scripts or anything when we talk to people. We just ask what they want to eat and bring it out. Sometimes the market outside gets really crowded, which affects how many people walk in. We’ve been here for a bit, so we know the regular faces from the nearby offices. It’s a lot of work keeping everything stocked and clean. We have to talk to the suppliers and make sure the vegetables are fresh. It’s just a normal job for us. We don’t have a big corporate office telling us what to do; we just run the place the way we know how. People come in, they eat, and they go about their day. We just try to make sure the food is hot and the tables are wiped down. We don't make a big fuss about things. It's just a place to get some food in the middle of a busy city.
