Taj Darbar Restaurant

Being near the Agra Fort means there is always something happening. Our restaurant, Taj Darbar Restaurant, is at 196 Field Marshall Cariappa Road in Balu Ganj. It’s a busy spot. You get the tourists coming from the fort and the locals who live around 282001. We’ve been here for a bit now. The kitchen gets hot, especially in the summer. We are just a small team. One guy does the dishes, another handles the stove. We don't have a big fancy menu with glossy pictures. We just tell you what we have today. Sometimes we run out of things early. That happens when it’s busy. Balu Ganj is a tight neighborhood. We know the shopkeepers next door. The road outside can get jammed up with rickshaws and bikes. We just keep our heads down and serve the food. It’s a simple life. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a restaurant on Field Marshall Cariappa Road. If the food is good and people are full, we’re happy. We don't spend money on ads. People just find us or they don't. That’s how we like to run things here. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We have a few ceiling fans that rattle, but they do the job. We're just a bunch of people making food near the fort for anyone who stops.
