Swad Punjabi Daba

Our dhaba is at shop number 23/11 in the Emporium Complex. This is in the Sanjay Place area of Agra. It’s a very busy commercial hub, so there are always people rushing around. We aren't a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits. We are a Punjabi dhaba for regular people who work in the offices nearby. My uncle and I started this place because we saw that everyone was looking for a decent lunch that didn't cost too much. We do all the cooking ourselves. The tandoor is always hot, and we make the rotis fresh as soon as someone orders. We have a few tables inside, but many of our customers just take the food back to their desks. The menu is all the standard Punjabi stuff like dal and paneer. We don't use any fancy additives, just the basic stuff you'd find in a home kitchen. The floor is easy to clean and the tables are basic. It gets very loud during the lunch hour because everyone is talking at once. We don’t have a website or any promotional flyers. People just know us because we’ve been here for years. We aren't trying to change the world, we just want to make sure the people in Sanjay Place have a hot meal to eat. It’s hard work being on our feet all day, but we are used to it.
