Stuff Makers

If you walk toward the South Gate of the Taj Mahal, you will find us tucked away inside Hotel Kamal. Agra is a busy city, especially in Taj Ganj where everyone is moving around trying to see the sights. Stuff Makers is just our small way of being part of that. We spend our days surrounded by the noise of the streets and the tourists from all over the world. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things here. We don't have a big office or anything like that. We just work from this spot and keep our heads down. Dealing with the heat in the summer can be tough, but the winter months are quite nice when the crowds are thick. We handle a lot of different things throughout the day, mostly just making sure our space is ready for whoever walks through the door. It’s not always easy running a business so close to a famous landmark because things are always changing, but we have stayed in this same spot for a long time. People often get lost looking for the hotel, so we end up giving directions as much as we do anything else. It is just a regular job for us, really. We open up early, stay late if we have to, and then do it all again tomorrow. It’s hard work, but it is honest work in a very famous part of town.
