Shilpgram Restaurant

Our restaurant is located in Taj Ganj, right near the Eastern Gate of the Taj Mahal in Agra. Being so close to such a famous place means there are always people from all over the world walking past our door. We are at the 282001 area and we have been here for a good while. The street is usually filled with tourists, guides, and rickshaws making a lot of noise. We spend our time in the kitchen or out front making sure the tables are clean. It is a busy life because of the location. We don't have any complicated goals, we just open the doors every morning and get to work. The heat in Agra can be really something in the summer, so we keep the fans going as much as we can. We see a lot of tired people coming back from the monument looking for a place to sit down. Our day starts early before the crowds arrive and ends after the sun goes down and the gate closes. It is a very simple way of living. We talk to the other shopkeepers in Taj Ganj and watch the world go by. We are just a local spot where you can get something to eat while you are visiting the city. There is always some cleaning to do or some supplies to carry in from the market. It is just a normal day for us at Shilpgram.
