Qaisar Bagh Restaurant

We sit right on Fatehabad Road, not too far from the Taj Mahal in Agra. Purani Mandi is a very busy part of the city, and it can get pretty dusty with all the tourists and rickshaws passing through every hour. The restaurant isn't huge, but we have enough tables for people who want a meal after walking around the monuments. We mostly cook the things we know. The kitchen gets really hot in the summer, but we keep going because people need to eat. You can hear the horns honking outside all day long. It is not a quiet place, but it is where we are. We have been here for some time now, serving whoever walks in the door. We do not have fancy uniforms or anything. Just us in our regular clothes, making sure the food is ready on time. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a backup for the lights so people can finish their dinner. Guests usually ask us for directions to the Taj, and we tell them the same thing every day. It is just a short walk down the road past the other shops. We clean the tables, sweep the floor, and start again tomorrow morning. It is a basic setup.
