Kwik Restaurant

Kwik Restaurant is tucked away on Shamshabad Road, right behind Hotel Amar in Agra. It’s not the easiest place to spot if you’re driving too fast, but the locals know where we are. The road outside can get pretty dusty, especially in the summer months when the heat is really hitting the pavement. We’ve been here for a bit now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We start the day by cleaning the front area and checking what’s in the fridge. Being behind a bigger hotel like Amar means we get a different crowd than the main road spots. It’s usually a bit quieter, which we don't mind. We focus on getting things done quickly because the name kind of implies that, but we don't rush the actual cooking part. The kitchen is small, and when we have three or four people working in there, it gets pretty hot and cramped. We’ve got a few tables inside and the lighting is just standard bulbs. There’s no big sign with flashing lights or anything like that. Just a simple place to get a meal. We spend a lot of time talking to the delivery drivers and the guys from the shops nearby. It’s a regular neighborhood business, and we just take things one order at a time, making sure the rice is cooked right and the tea is hot. It’s not fancy, but it’s ours, and we’re here every day.
