Indiana Restaurant

We are tucked away on Fatehabad Road in Agra, specifically behind Hotel Ratan Deep. If you find Jayasuriya Enclave, you are pretty much there. Indiana Restaurant has been in this spot for a good while. Since we are a bit back from the main road, it’s not as loud as some of the other places in the 282001 area. We have a simple dining room where the chairs don't always match perfectly, but they are comfortable enough to sit in. The menu is just things we know how to cook well. Most days, we are busy in the back chopping onions or cleaning the stove. The walls have a few pictures on them, but nothing fancy. We get a lot of people who live nearby or guests staying at the bigger hotels who want something a bit different. The lighting is a little dim in the evenings, which some people seem to like. We keep the place clean, but it's an old building, so it has its quirks, like a door that squeaks or a window that sticks sometimes. It’s just us running the place, making sure the food goes out and the tables are cleared. You won’t find any marble floors here, just a plain spot to sit down and eat something while you’re in Agra. The kitchen staff stays late most nights to clean up the pots and pans. We have a small fridge near the front where we keep some cold drinks. The curtains are a bit heavy and keep the dust from Fatehabad Road out. We have a few plants in pots near the entrance, but they don't get much sun. People sometimes stop by just to ask for directions to the Taj, and we help them out. It’s a quiet life here behind the main hotel. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
