Sarangapani Carpenter

I am Sarangapani, and my carpentry shop is located at H. No -2-18 in Aleru village. This is over in the Nellikudur area of Warangal. I have been doing this work for a long time, and many people in the village know me. My shop is a small place where I keep my tools and the wood I use for various jobs. I don't have any big industrial machines. I prefer using my hands and simple tools for most of the things I make. Whether it is a wooden frame for a window or a small stool for someone's kitchen, I give it my full attention. The shop is often dusty with sawdust, and you can usually hear the sound of a hammer or a chisel if you walk by. I like living and working here in Aleru because it is my home. People just come by my house when they have something that needs fixing. We talk about the wood and how much it will cost. I don't use fancy words or try to sell anything. I just tell them what I can do. Sometimes I have to go to people's houses to fix a door or a cupboard that's too big to move. It is a slow and steady kind of life. I am just a local carpenter trying to do a good job for my neighbors. My hands are always busy with something or the other.
