Dhurgamatha Carpenter Works

Down in Pogallapally, over in the Kothaguda area of Warangal, you'll find Dhurgamatha Carpenter Works at H. No -1-114. It’s basically a workshop where we spend our days covered in sawdust. We’ve been working with wood for a long time, making all sorts of things like frames, doors, and some basic furniture. It’s not a big factory, just a local shop where we use our hands and a few power tools. The smell of cut wood is everywhere here. People from the village and nearby areas come to us when they need something sturdy built. We don't use fancy computer designs, we mostly just draw things out on a piece of scrap wood or paper and get to work. It’s a bit noisy when the saws are going, but that's part of the job. We keep a lot of wood stacked up in the corner, waiting for the next project. Sometimes we work late into the evening if a neighbor needs something finished quickly. There isn't a showroom or a salesperson. You just talk to us directly. We take pride in making things that last, even if our shop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. It’s an honest way to make a living. We’ve been in this same spot for years and everyone around here knows where to find us. If you're passing through Kothaguda, you can hear us working from the road.
