Welcome Grain Shop

If you walk down into Fatepura 2nd Kumbharwada, you’ll see us at E/15. Welcome Grain Shop has been part of this street for a good while. It’s a tight space, but we make it work with bags stacked up to the ceiling in some spots. We handle all the standard grains that families around here use every day. It’s mostly just us doing the weighing and the bagging. The scale we use is old, but it still works just fine. We get the morning crowd who wants to beat the heat, and then it goes quiet for a bit during lunch. The neighborhood is loud and full of life, which we like. There’s always someone passing by the door. We don't do any big advertising or anything fancy like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in, or they just see the shop while they’re walking to the market. Sometimes we have to move the heavy sacks around to get to the stuff at the back, which is a bit of a workout. My back feels it at the end of the day, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep the place clean, though with grain, there’s always a little bit of chaff or dust floating around. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop where we try to have what people need when they need it. It’s been our daily routine for years and we’re used to the rhythm of Fatepura.
