Jay Mataji Super Store

Jay Mataji Super Store is on the ground floor of Windsor Plaza. That is shop number 6, right opposite the Alka Restaurant. Seema Nagar in Alkapuri is a pretty well-known area for everyone around here. We have been running this store for quite a while now. It is a standard super store, so we stock the usual things people need for their homes like soap and snacks. Every morning I come in, sweep the floor, and check what needs to be ordered for the next day. The milk delivery comes very early, so that is usually the first thing we handle before the sun is even up. Being across from the restaurant is good because their customers often stop by here after they finish their meals. Alkapuri gets very busy in the evenings with all the cars and people walking. Windsor Plaza has other shops too, so there is always some activity happening around us. We have a few shelves that are a bit high, so we keep a small ladder handy for when we need to reach the top. It is a family business, really. My son helps out after his college classes and my wife comes in sometimes during the lunch hour so I can take a break. We don’t use any big marketing tricks or anything. We just put the prices on the items and talk to the people who come in. It is a simple way to spend the day.
