Satnam Store

Satnam Store is situated on Mandvi Purushotham Road 6, right in the thick of things. This part of the city is always crowded with people shopping for clothes or groceries. We are a small part of that daily buzz. We sell mostly general items that people need for their homes. It’s a lot of little things like matches, tea leaves, and washing powder. The building is quite old, so the ceilings are high and it stays a bit cooler inside than you would expect. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way up, and I have to use a wooden ladder to reach the top ones. It is mostly a family-run thing. My father started it, and now I spend most of my day here. We don't really do any advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here on Purushotham Road. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside when it’s quiet and watch the rickshaws go by. The traffic can be quite loud, but we are used to it by now. We try to keep enough stock so that no one goes back disappointed. If we don’t have something, we usually tell people where else they can find it nearby. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to be honest and keep things moving. We value the regulars who have been coming to us for decades. It is a nice way to spend the years and we appreciate the support.
