Rochak Aahar Grihudyog

We are located at 876/4 in the G.I.D.C. Estate in Makarpura. Rochak Aahar Grihudyog is basically a home-style operation that grew a bit, but we still feel like a small kitchen. The estate is busy and there’s always something going on next door. We spend our days dealing with ingredients and packaging. It’s physical work, and our hands are always busy. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the food we produce is okay and that we finish our work on time. Sometimes the heat in the kitchen gets to be a bit much, especially in the summer months. We have a few fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. The staff is mostly local women from around Makarpura. We talk while we work, mostly about our families or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a very informal atmosphere here. We don't wear suits or have big meetings in boardrooms. We just sit around a table and figure things out together. If a machine breaks, we try to fix it ourselves first. It’s a practical way to live. We aren’t trying to change the world; we’re just making a living doing something we know. The floors are concrete and the walls are plain, but it’s where we spend our lives. We just keep the recipes going as best as we can every day.
