Lake Of Food

Our restaurant is on the first floor of Lalita Tower on Jetalpur Road. We’re situated right behind the railway station, so we see a lot of people who are just passing through Vadodara or have just stepped off a train. It’s a busy area with a lot of luggage and people in a hurry. Because of the location, our days start early and end late. The building itself is a bit older, and you can tell by the stairs and the hallways. We try to keep our space clean and comfortable for whoever walks in. It’s a lot of travelers who just want a hot meal and a place to sit for a minute before their next connection. We also get the local office workers from around Jetalpur Road during the lunch hour. It’s not the quietest place because of the trains and the traffic, but it has a life of its own. We don't have any big fancy signs, just the name on the door. The furniture is sturdy and the plates are heavy. We don’t spend much time on decorations; we’re more concerned with making sure the food is ready when people are hungry. It’s a straightforward operation. We know many of our customers won't be back for months, while others we see every single day. That’s just the way it works when you’re near the station. We just keep serving.
