Kgn Provision Store

My name is Ibraham and I run this little shop called Kgn Provision Store. We are right here in the Awaharbaug Society, just near the Abhilasha Char Rasta in Vadodara. I started this place a long time ago because there weren't many spots to grab the daily stuff like lentils, soap, or good rice around this corner. Most mornings I am here by seven, opening the shutters and sweeping the front. It gets dusty near the road. I spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors who stop by for a packet of milk or some sugar. I don't have fancy shelves or a computer system that tracks everything perfectly. I mostly write things down in my notebook. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and I have to tell people to come back later in the evening. It is just how things go. The shop is small and it gets a bit crowded when three or four people are inside at once, especially when they are looking for specific spices. I try to keep a bit of everything that a house needs. Living and working in Vadodara all these years has been good. People know me by name and I know which brand of tea they like. It isn't a big supermarket or anything like that. Just a simple provision store where the fan makes a little noise and we keep the doors open for the breeze.
