You can find us at Patel Plaza, which is right near the Harinagar bus stop on R.C. Dutt Road. It’s a very central location in the city, so there is always something happening outside our door. We get a mix of people—some are just waiting for the next bus, while others are working in the nearby offices. This general store has been around for quite a few years now. We keep the usual stuff like bottled water, biscuits, cigarettes, and basic toiletries. It is a convenient spot for people who are in a hurry and need something quickly. The shop isn't very big, but we try to keep it as tidy as possible. R.C. Dutt Road is one of the main veins of the city, so the noise from traffic is constant. We have gotten used to it though. We open up pretty early in the morning and do not close until the street starts to quiet down at night. It is a lot of standing around and waiting for customers, then suddenly five people will walk in all at once. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks here. We just put the items on the shelves and wait for people to need them. It is a straightforward way to make a living. We really appreciate the people who come back to us week after week. It is those local connections that make running a store in Patel Plaza feel worthwhile.
