Gokul Provision Store

Being in Vadsar is quiet mostly. Gokul Provision Store has been a part of the daily routine here for a good bit of time. It's a small shop. We don't have thousands of square feet. We just have what people usually need on a Tuesday afternoon or a Sunday morning. I wake up early to get things ready before the first neighbors walk by for their morning errands. Vadsar is a decent place to have a business because you get to know everyone's names after a few months. It's not like the big malls where nobody looks at you or even says hello. Here, we chat about the weather or how the road construction is going on the main path. We keep the shelves stocked with the basic stuff that families need. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next delivery truck, but folks around here are patient and they understand. It’s just how a small store works. I’ve seen kids grow up coming in here for snacks and now they’re bringing their own kids to pick out something. That makes me feel old, but it's nice to see. We aren't trying to change the world or grow into a massive corporation. We just want to stay open and keep serving the Vadsar community. The lights go on in the morning and off at night. It’s honest work. If you need something, you know where we are.
