Out here in Village Dekra, things move at their own pace. We are situated near the Hindustan Zinc Limited plant, which is the big landmark everyone uses to find us. If you get to the post office, you are basically there. We do a bit of everything here in Tehsil Girwa. It’s a dusty place sometimes, especially with the trucks going back and forth from the plant. Our building isn't much to look at, just a practical space where we handle our business. We spend most of our mornings checking the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a bit of a break then. It’s a local operation, mostly just family and people from the village helping out. We don’t have any big corporate ideas. We just want to get the day’s tasks done so we can go home. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the birds. We like it that way. Being near the big Zinc company means there is always something happening on the road. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but we stay pretty much the same. Just doing what we do in Dekra, day in and day out, without any fuss. It's a simple life out here and we're content with it.
