Secure Metal

Secure Metal is located over in Pratap Nagar, right along the Vestal Highway Road. Being near the highway means we get a lot of trucks and heavy vehicles passing by all day. Our building is pretty plain, just a functional space where we work with different kinds of metals. We do things like cutting, shaping, and basic fabrication. It’s a gritty job and we often go home with grease or metal dust on our clothes. The shop floor is usually covered in scraps that we sweep up at the end of every shift. We have a few machines that have been with us since we started, and they still run fine if you know how to handle them. The team is just a handful of guys who are good with their hands. We don't have a secretary or a computer system for everything. We write things down in notebooks and keep track of orders on a big chalkboard on the wall. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. The highway noise is something you just stop hearing after a while. We get a lot of people stopping in because they saw our sign while driving by. We don’t do anything fancy here, just solid metal work. If someone needs something fixed or made from steel or iron, we take a look and see what we can do. It’s a simple life and we like the work we do out here in Pratap Nagar.
