Mewar Handicraft Work'S

Our workshop is at 44, Shivrati House, right near Ganesh Gati. It’s a bit of a tight space, but we manage to fit all the materials in. Mewar Handicraft Work'S started because we liked working with our hands. It’s mostly just us and a few tools. The neighborhood is usually loud, especially during festivals, but we just keep our heads down and work. We have piles of wood and fabric everywhere. It’s not the cleanest shop you’ve ever seen, to be honest. We spend most of our time sanding things down or fixing mistakes. My hands are usually stained with something or other by the end of the day. People sometimes stop by and ask what we are making, and we just show them whatever is on the bench at that moment. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. It's just a local business trying to make ends meet. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought it would, and we stay late. The light isn't great in the evenings, but we have a few bright bulbs. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just like the feel of making something from scratch. If you’re around Ganesh Gati, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. It’s just how we live. It’s quiet in the mornings before the rest of the street wakes up, and that’s when we get the most done during the day.
