Mahaveer Trading Company

Our company is located at 12-B in the Hiran Magri Krishi Upaj Mandi. Being in the mandi means our day starts way before the sun comes up. It’s a place of heavy trucks, loud auctions, and a lot of dust from the grain sacks. We spend our hours tracking prices and talking to farmers who bring their produce in from the surrounding villages. The warehouse is filled with different commodities depending on the season. We deal with a lot of paperwork and weighing scales. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, mostly based on handshakes and long-term relationships. There’s no air conditioning here, just the big industrial fans and the smell of raw crops. We have a small office corner where we keep the ledgers and a computer for the official stuff. It gets very chaotic during the harvest months, and we barely have time to eat lunch. People come in to negotiate prices or check the quality of the lots we have available. We aren't a modern retail store; we are a trading firm in the middle of a busy market. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to work by candlelight to finish the accounts. It’s a tough environment but it's what we know. We’ve been part of this mandi community for a long time now. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade as it comes through the gates.
