Being in Milenium Plaza in Sardarpura keeps us busy. It’s a modern building but our shop feels a bit more lived-in. We have stacks of books everywhere and shelves full of gift items. Some days it’s quiet and I just spend time organizing the novels or the school supplies. Other days, a whole family comes in looking for a birthday present and it gets loud. We have a lot of local regulars who come by just to see what new titles we got in. I try to keep a mix of things, some notebooks, some pens, and then the actual gifts like clocks or small statues. It’s not a huge space but we make it work. The plaza has good parking which helps. Sometimes the air conditioning in the building is too cold, so I wear a sweater even in summer. We’ve been here for a bit now and know most of the other shop owners nearby. If you are looking for something specific, you might have to dig a little because the piles get high. I forget where I put things sometimes, but we usually find it eventually. It’s a simple shop. No big signs inside, just rows of stuff. We don't really do anything fancy, just sell books and gifts to whoever walks in. It’s a good way to spend the day, talking to people about what they like to read. The light from the plaza windows is nice in the morning. We just open up and wait for the first customer.
