Ecobuddy Exports

Down on Ettayapuram Road, you’ll find our place at 145/5 B. Ecobuddy Exports is what we call ourselves. This area is mostly industrial, so there are always trucks passing by and the sound of machinery in the distance. We work out of a plain building that serves as both our office and where we keep our shipping materials. We deal with goods that need to go overseas, so there is a lot of packing and checking involved. It’s a dusty job sometimes. We spend a lot of time making sure the labels are right and the boxes are taped up properly. We don’t have a fancy showroom because our customers are usually far away. It’s just us, some crates, and a lot of paperwork. The sun gets really hot on this road during the middle of the day, so we try to get the heavy loading done in the early morning. I started this because I saw an opportunity to move local goods out to other places. It’s been a learning process, and we’ve made our share of mistakes along the way. We don't have a big corporate structure. If there’s a problem, we just sit down and figure out how to fix it. We aren't looking to become a massive company; we just want to keep things moving and make sure our families are taken care of. It’s hard work, but it feels good to see a container finally leave the yard.
