The India Cements Limited

Our facility is located in TSN Nagar, which most people just call Cement Nagar for obvious reasons. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where all the heavy lifting happens. The India Cements Limited has been a fixture of this landscape for decades. You can’t miss the big structures and the chimneys when you’re approaching. The whole area has a very industrial feel to it, and there’s usually a thin layer of dust on everything. We have a massive site with different buildings for different stages of the process. It’s a busy place with trucks coming in and out at all hours. We work in shifts, so the plant never really sleeps. The roads around TSN Nagar are worn down by the heavy loads they carry every day. Most of us who work here also live in the nearby colony, so it’s a tight-knit community. We don't have fancy offices with glass walls. Our workspaces are practical and built to handle the environment. It gets loud and it gets hot, but we are used to the rhythm of the machinery. We spend a lot of time checking the equipment and making sure everything is moving along the belts. It’s a big operation, but we try to keep things running as smoothly as a small shop. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
