Jai Ganesh Cement Works

Our place is located at number 59 on Tanjore Main Road. Most people find us by looking for the Old Diary Farm which is right across the street. It is a landmark that almost everyone around here knows. We handle a lot of heavy cement bags every single day. It is the kind of work that you really feel in your back once the evening rolls around. Dust gets everywhere in the shop, on the shelves and even on the old phone we use. We do not mind it much anymore though. We have been at this same spot for a long time. The traffic on the main road can get very backed up, especially in the late afternoon when people are heading home. Sometimes the supply trucks get stuck in that mess for an hour or more. We spend a lot of our time just waiting for the next load to arrive at the door. It is not exactly a glamorous job, but it is what we do. There is a small crew of us here who know how to move the bags without making a mess. You learn a few useful tricks after doing it for years. We see many different builders and regular folks just trying to fix up their own houses. The weather really changes how our day goes. If it starts raining, we have to move fast to cover everything. It is a simple setup overall, nothing to brag about.
