If you walk down Shashtri Road in Thillai Nagar, you will see us at 86A. Ravi Building Materials has been a part of this Trichy neighborhood for a long time now. We mostly deal with the basics like sand, bricks, and cement. Our yard is usually stacked high with bags and piles of grit, which can get a bit messy. It gets very dusty, especially when the wind picks up or when we are unloading a fresh truck. We have trucks coming in and out all day long. Managing the deliveries in the Thillai Nagar traffic can be a nightmare sometimes, especially during the rush hour. The drivers have to be really patient and skilled to navigate the narrow turns. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass windows. It is just a simple desk, some wooden chairs, and a lot of heavy lifting. People come in to check the quality of the bricks or to ask about the price of a load of sand. We give them the current rates and tell them when we can deliver. It is straightforward and honest. Sometimes we run out of stock when there is a lot of building going on in Trichy, so we have to call the suppliers constantly to stay updated. We know the local masons and contractors pretty well. It is a busy life, always checking the ledger and making sure the loads are right. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, just trying to keep the supplies moving for our regular customers.
