We’ve been around North Tharanallur for a while now. Most people around Tiruchirappalli East know where our kitchen is located. It isn't some big fancy office or a corporate setup, just a practical place where we get the daily cooking done. Sree Sellaayi Amman Catering Services started because we liked making food for our own family functions, and then it just grew from there as neighbors started asking. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen over here in Trichy. It gets really hot and busy, especially when there are big orders to handle for weddings or local festivals. We don't really do much in the way of advertising or social media. Usually, someone eats at a wedding we handled and then they ask for our phone number. That’s how it works for us. We handle the heavy pots, the long ladles, and the grocery runs ourselves. The morning market trips are a regular part of life, picking out vegetables and spices. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when three different events happen on the same day, but we somehow manage to get the food delivered on time. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day long, but seeing the empty plates at the end makes it okay. We just focus on getting the flavors right. If the sambar and the rice are good, people are happy. That’s what we aim for every morning when we start the stoves.
