Om Sri Foods

We've been here on C.K.P. Koil Street for quite a while now. If you know Choolai, you know how these streets get. It’s narrow, loud, and there is always something happening right outside the door of No. 11/5/2. We started Om Sri Foods because we needed a way to make a living and we knew how to handle food products. Most days, it is just us making sure the bags are sealed right and the quality is what it should be. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool while we work. It’s not a fancy office or anything. There are stacks of inventory everywhere and the floor is usually a bit dusty from the constant deliveries. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. Sometimes the trucks can't even get down the street, so we have to carry things ourselves for a bit. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually tired by five o'clock. We don't have a big team, just a few people who show up and get the job done. We’ve seen the neighborhood change, but our spot stays pretty much the same. People drop by, we chat for a minute, then get back to packing. It’s just how it goes here. Nothing too complicated, just a regular day at work in Choolai.
