Shree Balaji Traders

We are situated right at 54 A on Wb Road, just across from Devar Hall. Being in the Tiruchirappalli Fort area means it is always noisy outside, especially when there is an event going on at the hall. People are constantly walking past or parking their bikes in front of our door, which can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Shree Balaji Traders has been in this same spot for years now. The building is older, and the stairs are a little narrow, but it serves us well enough. We mostly spend our time on the phone or checking the stock that comes in through the back. It is a family thing, really. My uncle started it, and now we just carry it on. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea while watching the traffic go by. Other days, we don't even have time to eat lunch until four in the afternoon because everyone wants something at the same time. The dust from the road gets in everything, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is honest. We know the other shopkeepers on the block and we look out for each other. If someone needs change or a hand moving a heavy box, we help out. That is just how it is around here. No big corporate rules, just work.
