Durai Enterprises

Our place is at Plot No.74 in Subramaniapuram. We are situated very close to the TVS Tollgate, so there is always the sound of trucks and cars passing by. It is a busy part of town and that keeps us on our toes. We handle various enterprise supplies from here. The building is more like a warehouse with a small corner for an office. We spend most of the day loading and unloading items. It’s a lot of physical work and the dust from the road comes in through the shutters. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years. We don’t really bother with decorating the place. It is just about getting the work done and making sure the inventory is right. Sometimes we share a meal together in the back during the lunch break. The weather in Subramaniapuram gets really humid, so we keep the fans running all the time. Being near the tollgate means we get people stopping by to ask for directions too. We just do our thing every day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is steady. We handle the paperwork on an old wooden desk that has been here since we started. Most of our day is spent checking lists and talking to drivers. It’s a noisy, busy life but it suits us just fine. Sometimes we have to stay a bit late to finish a delivery.
