Ruxmani Tea Plantation Llp

Ruxmani Tea Plantation is right up in the hills of Kotagiri. Our place is 2/318, Haven Green, in the Elada area near Kodanadu. If you know the Nilgiris, you know how the mist just rolls in during the afternoon and covers everything. That is when it gets really cold, and we all reach for our sweaters. We have been working these slopes for a while now. It’s not easy work, walking up and down the steep rows of tea bushes. Your legs get tired and the rain can be quite a bother when it starts pouring for days. We aren't some massive estate owned by a big brand; we are just a local LLP trying to make the most of our land. The tea we grow here is what we live on. We spend our days checking the leaves and making sure the pruning is done right. Inside the office at Haven Green, it’s mostly just us looking over the daily logs and drinking way too much tea. It is a quiet life for the most part, away from the noise of the bigger towns. Sometimes the transport trucks have a hard time with the narrow roads around here, especially when it’s muddy. But we've lived here long enough to know all the shortcuts. It’s just us doing what people in Kotagiri have done for generations. We don't need much more than that.
