If you’re heading down Walajabad Road in Vandalur, you might have seen us. New Look Beauty & Skin Care is right across from Natesan Mandabam. That’s a good landmark because people are always there for weddings. We get a lot of that crowd, folks needing to get ready for a big party or a family function. It’s a small place at No 1/214. Nothing too loud or flashy. I focus a lot on skin care because the dust around here can really do a number on your face. We have some chairs and the usual stuff you’d expect from a local shop. I’ve been working with hair and skin for years now. It’s just what I know how to do. Some days it’s quiet and I just sit and wait for a customer, other days I don’t even have time to eat lunch because three people walk in at once. That’s just how it goes when you run your own small shop. I don't use those expensive advertisements or internet things much. People just walk in or hear about us from their friends. We try to do a good job so they come back next time. The shop is simple, and we like it that way. It feels like home to me now after all these years. Just a regular beauty parlor for regular people living around Vandalur. Stop in if you're passing by the mandabam and need a quick shave or a facial. We usually have the radio on for some background noise.
