Magnum Opus Store

Our shop is located up on the second floor in Swaminarayan Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek to find if you aren't familiar with the Minibazaar area in Varachha. We are right behind G. K. Chambers and close to that Geetanjali petrol pump on Kohinoor Road. It’s a very crowded part of Surat, lots of energy and people everywhere. The store itself isn't huge, but we pack a lot into the space. We mostly deal with the local crowd who knows we are here. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but people don’t seem to mind. We spend most of our day talking to customers or rearranging the shelves. Sometimes the stock takes up so much room that it’s hard to walk around, but we manage. Varachha is always humming with activity, especially in the evenings when the markets really get going. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who handle everything from sales to cleaning the floors. It’s a basic setup. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers. We just want to make sure people find what they need. The stairs up to our place are a bit steep, so we always tell people to take their time. During the festivals, this whole area gets so crowded you can barely move, and our little store gets packed with people looking for something special. We don't have fancy displays, just simple racks that have seen better days.
